Robert Olsen
Founder
Mr. Olsen is a highly motivated, solution-oriented Construction Manager with a strong thirty-year track record in resource and personnel management. He has performed complete construction management and general contracting services for various large capital improvement projects throughout the Northeast. His management successes include general construction and mission-critical applications. He has consistently achieved ambitious goals through a proven ability to select, train, and motivate management teams.
Nick Olsen
President
Mr. Olsen is a graduate of Endicott College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a Minor in Finance. Born into a construction family, Nick has been around the trades from an early age and understands the importance of developing relationships between staff, subcontractors, and clients. Nick is responsible for shaping the office environment, creating strategic growth opportunities, and maintaining a stellar level of customer service that has made Olsen Construction Services a well-respected entity throughout the Northeast.
Frank Maruca
Executive Vice President
Mr. Maruca has over 19 years of Construction Management experience on various projects with values ranging from 1 million to 36 million dollars. These projects have included both the private and public sectors of the industry. Frank is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree with a focus in Construction Management. Before joining the Olsen team, Frank managed the construction of many extensive renovation projects for one of the largest broadcasting companies in the country, located in Bristol, Connecticut, including two extensive façade upgrades. Mr. Maruca is focused on delivering exceptional service by understanding our existing and potential clients’ needs and assessing how OCS can bring value to their organizations. Frank excels at providing consistent and accurate communication with our clients, design team, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution.
David Cotton
Vice President – Specialty Projects
Mr. Cotton is nationally recognized as a conceptual and creative thinker with extensive experience in linking IT functions to the strategic direction of the business. He is a decisive problem solver, effective communicator, and team player with a successful record of operating in various business environments. He is a successful manager of complex projects with solid re-engineering and team-building skills. To date, David has completed numerous mission-critical projects for various financial services and critical infrastructure companies. David currently holds a BA from Brandeis University and a Certificate of Special Studies in Administration and Management from Harvard University.
Brett Carenzo
Project Executive
Mr. Carenzo is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management. Brett has over 15 years of commercial construction experience, including 14 years of construction management and expertise in oversight, estimating, procurement, scheduling, and project management. Mr. Carenzo has completed 30 hours of OSHA construction training and completed the Associate Constructor National Certification.
Daisy Rook
Chief Financial Officer
Mrs. Rook is a graduate of the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics & Finance. As Chief Financial Officer, she is responsible for overseeing all the company’s financial functions, including budgets, accounting, audits, and finance. She is recognized and accountable for maximizing company performance. Mrs. Rook has the ability to examine and understand the business needs to deliver comprehensive reporting. She is accustomed to managing multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. Mrs. Rook also oversees and manages all human resources and facilities activities. Her construction career spans more than 25 years, focusing on financial management, business leadership, and organizational strategy.
Kate Stefanowicz
Project Manager
Ms. Stefanowicz is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. Kate has over 13 years of experience in the construction industry and started her career working at a non-profit as a carpenter building homes for low-income families. She has over 10 years of experience in the commercial construction industry with expertise in estimating, scheduling, quality control, project engineering, and project management. Kate has been involved in numerous large-scale projects with fast-track schedules and complex logistics. She has experience with tenant fit-outs, new construction, precast parking garages, and medical buildings. Kate is OSHA 30 certified.
