The renovation and expansion of Duncaster Retirement Community’s Central Commons Building reimagined the space to provide enhanced amenities and a superior quality of life for residents. This significant project introduced state-of-the-art wellness spaces, modernized dining options, and thoughtfully designed residential and activity areas to foster comfort, connection, and engagement. Key features include fitness and wellness facilities, casual and formal dining spaces, private meeting rooms, and dedicated art and recreational areas.

Working within an occupied community, the team prioritized detailed planning and coordination to minimize disruptions while maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents and staff.

Sustainability was a core focus, with the design incorporating energy-efficient systems and sustainable materials to support the community’s long-term environmental goals. The result is a vibrant, modernized Commons building that seamlessly blends functionality, sustainability, and resident-centered design, ensuring a welcoming and engaging environment for years to come.
